MILDURA will soon have a new franchise quick service restaurant, with construction underway for a Schnitz.
Local businessman and Schnitz Mildura franchise partner Adrian Morris said he was excited to bring the Melbourne-founded food restaurant to the Sunraysia region.
“My life has been 30 plus years with VideoEzy, and of course as they video industry came to an end I needed to work out what I was going to do next, so food was sort of the direction I wanted to go,” Mr Morris said.
“I looked at some other options, but Schnitz is what I wanted to do and what I wanted to bring to Mildura, so that’s what I’ve pursued.”
Serving hand-crafted, pan cooked schnitzels, the restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner seven days a week, through dine-in, take away or deliveries.
It will be located in Mildura’s premier dining strip, Langtree Avenue’s ‘Feast Street’.
“To add to that I think is a good thing for the town, just to go to one area and have so many food options,” he said.
“This is also a food option that currently doesn’t really exist in Mildura.”
Planned to open at the end of May, the 400sqm restaurant will seat 145 patrons inside and out, and will employ approximately 30 full-time and casual staff.
