MILDURA

LAST Wednesday was a Stableford event played in two grades.

A Grade was won by Steven Fumberger on 36 points from runner-up Greg Toma on a countback with Robert Morgan, both on 35 points.

Ian Brodie won B Grade with 35 points from runner-up Robin Hubble on a countback with Trevor Rogers, both on 34 points.

Balls: (17) 36-32 points on a countback.

NTPs: 1st Pete’s Pure — Simon Kelly, 350cm, 2nd Pig — Robert Young 780cm, 10th Trentham Estate — Wayne Davis 185cm, 12th Zilzie Wines — Paul Leonard 83cm.

The ladies played a Stableford event on Friday with Carla Sherriff winning the 18-hole event and ball comp with 37 points from Tracy Katis on 34 ponts. Denise Clohesy won the nine-hole event and the ball comp with 10 points.

Saturday was a stroke event for the Monthly Medal.

James Clay won A Grade after a three-way countback with Craig Hocking and Joel Doherty, all on net 71.

Mathias Moisidis cleaned up B Grade with net 65 from runner-up David Merry net 67 with Mathew Austin third on net 71.

C Grade was won by Peter Palazzo on net 74 from runner-up Perry Hill net 75 with Tim Donaldson third on net 76.

Balls: (21) net 75 on a countback.

NTPs: 1st Pete’s Pure — Joel Doherty 230cm, 2nd Pig — Bob Bettess 450cm, 10th Trentham Estate — Josef Moisidis 686cm, 12th Zilzie Wines — Maurice Warn 144cm.


RIVERSIDE

ON Monday,March 10 a medley Stableford was played.

A Grade: Steve Batchelor 34 point, on a countback, runner-up Tony Coppola 34 points.

B Grade: Lucy Batchelor 40 points, runner-up Phillip Teopenga 37 points on a countback from Tom Till.

Balls 33 points on a countback.

NTPs: 4th Zilzie Wines – Michael Wade, 12th – Michael Wade and 18th – Rob Arnold.

Last Tuesday the ladies played a nine-hole Stableford: Adel Dal Corobbo 19 points, runner-up Chitra Rankin 17 points.

NTPs: 18th – Selma Mayne 520cm.

Wednesday’s Stableford:

A Grade: Lukas Pedder 43 points, runner-up Shane Crossling 40 points.

B Grade: Ken Upton 39 points, on a countback from runner-up John Denman and Martin Upton.

Balls: (15) 36 point on a countback.

NTPs: 4th – Trevor Williams 198cm, Cookes Pools and Spa’s 7th – David Lloyd 509cm, 12th – David Lloyd 511cm, Good Deal Tyres 18th – Wayne Innes 320cm.

Thursday’s Ladies Opening Day – Secret Stableford:

Winning pair – Tracy Lee and Rose Gillardi 71 points, runner-up Pat Riordan and Loris Hicks 65 points on a countback from Heather Klemm and Selma Mayne.

The straightest drive on the 17th went to Marie Hudak. Best single score for the day was picked up by Pat Riordan.

NTPs: 4th – Pat Riordan 611cm, 7th – Lisa Garioch 545cm, 12th – Pat Riordan 132cm and !8th – Lisa Garioch 43cm.

Friday’s nine-hole medley Stableford:

Travis Jobson 21 points, runner-up – Jayden Grenfell 19 points on a countback from, Tim Schurr, Reece Merlin, Jasper Robins and Bodan Bishop.

Balls: (13) 18 point on a countback.

Saturday’s medley par:

A Grade: Brendan Rowse +3, runner-up Darren Gray +1.

B Grade: Harvey Spratt +3, runner-up +2.

C Grade: Jeff Riordan +4, runner-up +3.

Aggregate: Abe Nemes/Michael Thompson 75 points, runner-up: Max Trinick/Michael Mooney 70 points.

WENTWORTH

THURSDAY golf was a non-event due to the extreme weather conditions.

Sunday’s Stableford: Max Hodges 34 points, runner-up Barry Quayle 33 points, third Glen Walker on 28 points.

Mr Risky went to Vicki Appleton with 21 points.

NTP: 2nd — Glen Walker 600cm.
