HOME will always be where the heart is for Sunraysia lady bosses Bianca and Bridgett Roccisano, who are continuing to make waves in the international fashion space.
The Mildura-raised sister duo have gone global with their leading clothing label, Bianca and Bridgett, but aim to take the world by storm with the launch of a distribution deal of the market’s first breast lift in a box, Booby Tape.
Next month the Roccisano sisters will stand alongside celebrity icons Sofia Richie and Nikita Dragun in London to celebrate a massive new deal with one of the largest distributors in the United Kingdom.
“It’s surreal for us both … Sofia and Nikita are the biggest celebrities in the world right now, so to have them host our Booby Tape launch is incredible,” Bianca said.
Booby Tape evolved in 2018 after Bianca and Bridgett experienced their own struggles in finding a suitable bra to wear under various outfits.
A simple vision transformed into a multi-million-dollar brand now stocked in more than 30 countries.
“It was really just a struggle we had with being large-busted women and not being able to wear the outfits we wanted … and we couldn’t find anything online,” Bridgett said.
“The first order was about 200 rolls, but Bianca said, ‘Don’t be ridiculous, we need at least 500’.
“Now we’re ordering hundreds of thousands and have needed to get another factory just to store Booby Tape in.”
While the sisters agreed the response and demand for Booby Tape on a global scale had been “overwhelmingly positive”, they said their first baby Bianca and Bridgett was still an equal passion.
“I knew women needed it (Booby Tape) and I knew it would be a good product, but I don’t think we ever anticipated how quickly it would take off,” Bianca said.
“There’s a misconception that Booby Tape is our only focus but we’re so passionate about both, and Bianca and Bridgett is continuing to grow rapidly.
“We have about 50 dresses between now and winter to launch, so both businesses are going very strong.”
Before Bianca and Bridgett jet set from Melbourne to their London launch, they will touch down in Italy to attend the biggest beauty trade fair in the world.
But the journey to secure a spot at COSMOPROF in Bologna was hard, according to the sisters.
“They said no to us for about six months … but of course Bridgett and I would not take no for an answer so I flew to Hong Kong to meet with them face-to-face,” Bianca said.
“My mum came with me because Bridgett was unwell and we happened to be in Hong Kong in the middle of the riots so we were stuck in our hotel room.
“I wanted to get out of there and go home, but Mum said to wait it out so we could make the meeting.
“I pleaded with them to allow us and then we were accepted into the world’s biggest beauty trade fair in the world.”
While persistence and diligence has been pivotal in Bianca and Bridgett’s success, the centre of their universe is still Mildura — a place they proudly call home.
“Mildura is home … it’s our retreat,” Bridgett said.
“We love the sun and Mildura has the most perfect climate in all of Australia.
“We’re so lucky in such a small town to have the food and produce quality we have and whenever we get home we make sure we pop into 27 Deakin and stock up on the jams, relishes, olive oil and salt.”
