SUNRAYSIA Produce has expanded to include Elm Tree Gardens and Nursery at its Benetook Avenue, Mildura, location.
Both businesses are owned by Lance and Dianna Boston and are now a one-stop shop for health food and plant needs.
The couple bought Sunraysia Produce in October last year and planned to move their other business, Elm Tree Gardens and Nursery, to the same location.
Mr Boston said when they bought Sunraysia Produce they extended it so they could include more health products.
The store now includes a range of vegan, gluten-free, low FODMAP and keto diet foods, as well as sustainable products.
“We researched it and it’s amazing how many people in Sunraysia are gluten-free or there’s something wrong with their stomach,” Mr Boston said.
Once they increased the product range, Mr and Mrs Boston built a nursery next door to Sunraysia Produce and gradually started moving stock from the original Elm Tree Gardens and Nursery store.
“Benetook is that busy and it’s easy to turn off, there’s also a good carpark,” Mr Boston said. “So it makes sense to have the two businesses in one — hopefully we can develop and expand both of them.”
Elm Tree Gardens and Nursery officially opened at its new location last Saturday.
It stocks a range of plants including natives, hedging plants, perennials and indoor plants.
Mr Boston said they planned to keep expanding both businesses and the carpark.
“All we’ve got to do is get people in and hope it all works,” Mr Boston said.
