Businesses urged to explore future opportunities

THE Board of Regional Development Australia Murray is hosting a business breakfast in Buronga on Monday, April 29.

Local small and medium enterprises and members of the Wentworth Shire business community are invited to attend the two-and-a-half hour long event to explore future opportunities.

The RDA Murray Board will be joined by panellists from REMPLAN, Elecnor, Transgrid and the Department of Regions NSW to discuss how local businesses have engaged with new projects in the region.

Businesses will have the opportunity to get answers to questions they have about engaging with large projects.

The RDA Murray Board will be seeking to understand the impact of investment in the local economy and how local enterprises have engaged with that investment, so the organisation can better support locals to make the most of future investment.

RDA Murray chief executive Edwina Hayes said that the event aims to inform local businesses about the opportunities available.

“RDA Murray has been fortunate to partner with passionate community deliverers of economic development across the region,” Mrs Hayes said.

“We are highly focused on housing, workforce and enabling small businesses to make the most of the large projects flooding the region.”

REMPLAN director Nick Byrne will deliver a keynote speech about the economic drivers in the region.

Department of Regions NSW economic development and coordination manager Hodi Beauliv will explore NSW government investments and opportunities impacting the local community.

Seats are limited, and the RDA board is requesting that guests register at EventBrite: https://bit.ly/4aBUFqF
