Ridge and Rams to battle
IT is a top-of-the–table clash between Nursery Ridge and Ouyen Rams at the Onion Patch.
The Rams had a solid home win over South West down at Blackburn Park last time out, with Nursery Ridge good winners over Red Cliffs rivals Fire Brigade.
The battle between bat and ball will be interesting with Luke Collett in good touch last week for the Ridge and Daniel Kay hard to get away for the Rams while also picking up four wickets against South West to move to eight across the opening three games.
In the round’s other games, Millewa struck a last-ball win against Tempy last weekend and will want to keep the momentum going against Fire Brigade, who are out to return to the winners’ circle.
Tempy host South West looking to bounce back and jump into the top two, with South West the only team winless after the opening three games.
B GRADE
Alarms ringing at Brigade
FIRE Brigade and South West are both out to get their seasons started after slow beginnings to season 2020-21.
The two sides occupy positions seven and eight on the ladder in the early goings, but South West have played just the one match to Fire Brigade’s two.
Curlwaa have an early 20 point game, hoping to put space between them in the four and Nursery Ridge.
As it stands The Islanders are four with with 10 points, with Nursery Ridge on five and in fifth equal on points with Millewa.
Millewa have a tough matchup with second side Cardross.
A potential upset there would keep Millewa well in the midst of the early top four calculations, but for Cardross it’s a chance to go through their first three games unblemished.
Ouyen and Tempy have the bye.
