RAIN has interfered with this weekend’s cricket action, with Friday night’s Premier Women’s matches and tomorrow’s junior grade games being cancelled.
Following 23mm of rain on Thursday and continued drizzle, Sunraysia Cricket Association (SCA) made the decision to call off those games.
Saturday’s senior men’s grades and Sunday’s junior girls matches are still scheduled, however the state of play will be discussed on Saturday morning.
The junior two-day games will likely be called draws, as will round 5 of the women’s fixture.
It comes after the opening week of cricket action last week, after the season start was delayed from early October due to COVID restrictions.
