VETERANS

There is just under two weeks before the district veteran golfers travel to the Merbein Golf Club for the next monthly competition. On Monday the 3rd of May the club will be hosting a single stableford competition. As always a good field will enjoy the hospitality of the club with lunch and drinks following our round of golf. The day will have all the regular components that make our district events such a great day. There are prizes for A and B grade competitions and Nearest the Pin on all par threes. The seventeenth hole par three always presents a challenge as it takes a long shot to reach that green. There are points to be collected towards our incentive program for participants as well.

The club has a limited number of carts for hire so please contact the club to ensure you are able to secure one.

At the association level the news is positive with an expectation that we have a willing replacement for our present captain. John has indicated that he wishes to retire from the position at the end of this year. Having time to support a new captain will make the transition an easier process. With luck that begins at Merbein.

Hope you can made it and until then happy golfing.
