LAST Wednesday was a Stableford event won by Oscar Mannix with 38 points from runner-up Ken Matulick with 34 points.

Friday’s Twilight Stableford Cashed-up winner was Dylan Burnet on 19 points from runner-up Keryn Neindorf with 17 points (players must play at least two Friday twilight games to qualify for the jackpot on the last Friday of January).
Saturday was Drummond Golf Mildura Sunraysia Golf Driving Range Par event which was won by Claude Dawson (back-to-back wins) on +1 to collect the $50 voucher from Stuart Watson square with the card for the $30 voucher and 3rd place went to Matt Vining on -2 to collect a $20 voucher.

There will be a working bee next Tuesday and Wednesday from 5.30pm as we need assistance with putting the insulation into the new rooms, PPE will be provided and we would like some volunteers to assist. This will be our last voluntary job required on the new clubrooms before tradesmen finish off the rooms, so we can hopefully be in sooner.

ON Monday, January 9 the Veterans competition winner was Ross Elliott (9) with a great score of 41 points, well ahead of runner-up Geoff Cameron (17) with 36 points and a third place mention to Keith Williams (11) on 35 points.

The ladies played and 18 hole Stableford on Tuesday, January 10 and the winner was Ann Bowen (10) with 37 points from runner-up Christine Hartley (45) on 35 points.
The ball competition had 5 balls and 32 points on a countback or better collected.

Last Wednesday the men played stroke for the Monthly Mug and 137 players ventured out on to the course.
A Grade winner was Ross Bowen (9) on a countback from runner-up Ernie Tyrrell (11) both shooting 69 net and third place went to Shaun Clarke (8) on 70 net.
B Grade winner was Ernie Lobartolo (14) with 67 net to win from runner-up Nigel Ingram (17) on 69 net on a countback from third placed Jason Marks (14) also on 69 net.
C Grade winner was Frank Morello (20) surviving a three-way countback from runner-up Graham Robertson (25) and third placed Don McConnell (27) all on 70 net.
The ball comp had 34 balls and 73 net on a countback or better collected.

Friday medley 9 hole Twilight Stableford competition winner was Boof Ferguson (16) with 21 points.
The predicted scorcher on Saturday reduced the field and morning time slots were at a premium, however 128 players took to the course and some excellent scores were retuned.
A Grade winner was David Murray (5) with 40 points from runner-up Rob Pallot (3) with 39 points and third place mention to Lee Tucker (5) on 38 points.
B Grade winner was Trevor Riordan (10) having a day out shooting the best score of the day with an incredible 45 points to win from runner-up Ricky Lowe (10) with 40 points on a countback from third place Sam Smythe (15) also on 40 points.
C Grade winner was Robert Latta (36) with 41 points from runner-up Ross Williams (17) on 40 points from third place Stephen Reberger (19) with 39 points.
There were 31 balls in the ball comp and 35 points on a countback or better collected.

The first major event for 2023 is coming up with the Klemm’s Australia Day Ambrose in 4s event on Thursday, January 26. With big fields expected there will be a morning shotgun start at 8am which has been filled already and an afternoon shot gun start at 1pm.
A barbecue lunch will be provided for morning and afternoon groups from noon until 1pm.
RED CLIFFS
A medley Stableford was held on Wednesday, January 11 and Anthony Lee won the A Grade division with 40 points from runner-up Neil Bryant with 37 points.
Robin Arnold had 41 points to win B Grade from runner-up Michael Morrall with 39 points.
Glenys Murray is continuing with her good golf to win C Grade on 36 points from runner-up Kaylene Geddes with 34 points.
You needed 33 points and above won a ball.

The Friday 9 hole comp saw the ever-consistent Lewis Young win with 20 points from Tony Johns on 17 points.
The Stroke Monthly Medal was played on Saturday and Affie Ganz had 69 net to win A Grade from Peter Wright on 71 net. In B Grade James Taylor had 69 net to win from Brendon Lanigan on 71 net and Salli Fox had 75 net to win the ladies event from Deanne Davis on 77 net.
Balls went from 74 net.
