Mildura rebounded from a sub-par performance the previous week to record an impressive 26-point win over Ouyen United at City Oval on Saturday.
Taking first use of a strong wind to the Etiwanda Avenue end, the Demons slammed on four unanswered goals in the first eight minutes before the visitors found their feet defensively.
Trailing by 29 points, the Kangas made some headway with the breeze in the second term and a seven-point lead to Mildura left the game up for grabs at half-time.
Four third-quarter goals from Mel Lando helped the home side build a 36-point buffer while holding United scoreless for the term, and the Demons then ran the game out strongly to register a convincing victory.
