Wentworth production line continues to build

KOBE Mutch was the ultra-disciplined ball magnet well beyond his years, Jarrod Brander was the physically dominant dual-sport athlete and Derek Eggmolesse-Smith used to laugh at training, such was his enjoyment of the game and how easy he made it look.

Three years on from winning an under 16s premiership together with the Wentworth District Football Club, the trio have all found themselves on AFL lists – another three notches in the Roos’ belt as a breeding ground for talent in the AFL era.

Brander was picked up in this year’s AFL National Draft by West Coast, while Eggmolesse-Smith was selected as a Category B rookie by Richmond this week.

Mutch has already spent a year at Essendon after being picked up in the 2016 draft.
