Kick-start along footy path

AUSKICK remains a vital pathway for children too young for junior football to get a kick start in their careers, AFL Victoria says.

AFL Victoria Auskick state co-ordinator Dale Wain was in town this week as part of her regional tour to hold start-up meetings with local co-ordinators and launch the new Auskick 2.0 and said Auskick was important to keep junior football healthy.

“We know that clubs that don’t have Auskick and have juniors, things can start to waver a little if they are not getting the contact through,” she said.

“The clubs that have an Auskick program associated with junior football; there’s just that natural progression.”
