Adam Hartlett interleague blow

SUNRAYSIA’S interleague campaign has been dealt a blow by the withdrawal of key forward Adam Hartlett due to a hip injury.

The Imperials co-coach, leading the Bland Medal with 21 goals in his club’s four games, injured his hip flexor against Merbein in round 4 and while he was able to manage himself through last weekend’s game he needed the week off.

“I went to the physio (on Monday) and I had a strain in my hip flexor which I carried the past two weeks – it needs a bit of rest,” Hartlett said.

“It’s disappointing but that’s the way it goes.”
