Crucial clash for Kangas and Imps

OUYEN United and Imperials will look to keep in touch with the ladder leaders when they meet on Saturday in SFNL A Grade netball.

The Kangas and Imps have 3-1 records, trailing only the undefeated duo of Wentworth (5-0) and Irymple (4-0).

While they may have been teammates during Sunraysia’s big interleague victory over North Central last week, Ouyen defender Catherine Brown and Imps attacker Ebony Littore could be matched up on each other come game day.

Brown especially is in great form with the Underbool local named best-on-court last week.

The battle between Kyra Nathan and Alle Littore in the centre should also be something to watch.

In other games, South Mildura and Merbein will look to keep in touch with the top four when they battle at Kenny Park.

The Bulldogs share a 2-3 record with Mildura and are a win outside of the top tier, and while the Magpies have only won one game, they have been well within striking range of other teams.

Irymple will aim to keep their undefeated record intact when they come up against Mildura.

The Swallows have been in impressive form with a young side at their disposal, however the experienced shooting combination of Steph O’Loughlin and Sherrie Geister has been tough to handle.

It’s also a young Mildura outfit, however Alex Leng and Ava Zadow’s performances for the 17 and Under interleague side should give them confidence.

Either Robinvale Euston or Red Cliffs will break their duck when they do battle at John James Oval.

The Eagles are searching for their first win of the campaign while the Tigers will hope to get their first victory since 2014.
